Custom home building is construction tailored to the needs of the homeowner. It involves consideration of the family lifestyle, the anticipated expansion and maturation of the family and the style and tastes of the occupants. It goes beyond standard floorplans and finishes, personalizing the layout, materials and finishes based on the homeowners individualized needs and desires. Building a home will likely be the biggest investment a homeowner will ever make. The decisions made in the design process and the construction undertaken during the build phase will impact the family for years to come. Our guarantee is that the impact will be a positive one.
Partnering with an experienced, knowledgeable custom home builder will ensure your vision and desires are realized in dependable, quality construction. You can trust CHS Coastal Homes and Sunrooms, first and foremost, to listen to you to really understand your vision and your personal style. We’ll get to know how you live today and how you see yourself in the years to come. From design to construction to final walk-through, we stand committed to honest, quality craftsmanship and customer service. Are you dreaming of the perfect home? Together we can make it happen.
With custom home building, the options are endless, but some of the more common areas where individualized design really pays off include:
The Kitchen – maybe it’s larger bartop dining, more cabinets, a built-in breakfast nook, a dedicated coffee counter, custom cabinetry and shelving or an adjoining sunroom.
Bedrooms – maybe you’ve always wanted a seating area in the master bedroom, larger children’s rooms, larger guest rooms, built-in desks, a dreamy window seat or custom wall paneling.
Garages – your ideal garage could be one that is extra large, or one that has custom built-ins, a dedicated workspace or multiple bays.
Overall Finishes – maybe you’re dreaming of textured walls, paneled walls, wood inlays, mixed-material countertops, custom trim and doors or stone accents.
And these are just a few of the ways we make your home unique. By definition, custom home building means personalization. We build to suit your lifestyle, individualized tastes and needs.
For some, the thought of a custom home build may seem daunting. We get it. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, CHS Coastal Homes and Sunrooms has perfected a process that is smart and productive. We’re with you each step of the way, ensuring that what you envision becomes a reality. From a high-level, our process looks something like this:
At our first meeting, we’ll talk through your vision. We’ll discuss how you live. We’ll discuss what you like and don’t like about your current residence. We’ll talk budget. We have created beautiful homes with budgets of all sizes. And, if financing is a part of your plan, ask us about our home improvement financing plans.
Design & Review
Once we’re set on your vision, we’ll draw up the plans. You will have several opportunities to review the plans. We’ll tweak until you are 100% satisfied and ready to begin construction.
At CHS Coastal Homes and Sunrooms customer service is a top priority. We assign a dedicated project manager to each job. You can expect to see your project manager regularly; he’ll oversee all phases of construction. We’re proud of the team of craftsmen we employ, many with long tenures at the company. They’re as passionate about the trade as we are.
All of our subcontractors are fully vetted, and most have partnered with us for years as well. We consider it a privilege to play a role in making your dream home a reality and this is apparent in the work we do and the service we provide.
